This little boy has taught me a lot. I met him the day he was born. Over the last two years because of him, I have learned to ask God what He wants. I have learned how to wait. I have learned how to pray listening prayers. I have learned how God wars for our destinies. I have learned that even disappointment can have a tone of gratitude; the kind that gives thanks in all circumstances. I have learned that the enemy of our souls is very uncreative, yet persistent. I have learned that some breakthroughs only come with strategic and consistent prayer. I have learned the life and future of a small baby can impact many people’s experience with a loving God. I have learned that a refusal to surrender to God’s desires can cause others pain. I have learned that, ” …perseverance must have its way, in order for us to be mature and complete, not lacking anything,” I have learned how to fight for His purposes. I have learned how to defend the cause of the weak. I have learned to trust God’s words and not what I see or hear.

This little boy has taught me that God will go above, beyond, around, under, and through all barriers that thwart His purposes for His children.

Newborn baby boy’s body was hidden in a backpack and dumped. A NEWBORN baby has been found dead, the third in two weeks.A man passing by came across the backpack containing the infant boy’s body, in a field along the M5 and Kromboom Road near Rondebosch East on Monday, police spokesperson Nkululeko Mnyaka said. Just over two weeks ago two babies were dumped within a day of each other, one in the city centre near Parliament, the other in Philippi.

The backpack was found on Monday beside a tree. “(The baby was) wrapped in a white towel with yellow printing, and (placed) inside a plastic bag and then in a blue nylon backpack,” Mnyaka said.

The man found the infant’s umbilical cord was intact. “He took the baby to the nearest house in Sprigg Road, where the SAPS was contacted. We are awaiting the post-mortem results to determine the cause of death.” A docket has been opened on concealment of birth.
