Dear Valuable Ones,

We were not suprised, but oh so overwhelmed with so many of your responses to help the vulnerable children whose homes were burnt down. We walked through the rubble overwhelmed by how the families would ever rebuild, and recollect everyday neccessities that never come easy for them. We knew that as a intricle part of this team, you “the sponsors” would respond. We would never assume that during these hard times you aren’t also struggling to make ends meet, but we knew that The Father’s heart for these children has always been so quick and immediate to provide for them. We love seeing His urgent and quick reply to the distress of the needy.

You became His arms, you were the shelter He describs himself as. You were His provision during disaster, that he promises His children. WE ARE HAPPY TO REPORT THAT because of your donations we were able to completely rebuild new shacks for 4 of our families and help get them functioning again. The shacks are constructed well as we had Dave Landshutt in charge. He was a builder in America before he became a missionary full time. They will be strong and leak proof. We were able to replace all the school uniforms that were burnt, as well as much needed additional clothing and shoes for every family member, not just your selected vulnerable child. We gave mattresses to the families, to sleep on. We were even able to provide an additional shack for a home of young girls who live on there own, who are not even a part of the program.

We were so relieved that Kyakazi who takes care of her 3 young siblings and 2 year old daughter moved last year. Because there “shack” was in absolute shambles and bordered a swampland, a sponsor offered to buy them a new one in a much safer part of Masi. If this has not happened last year, they would have also lost everything in the fire. We rejoiced because of this family was already spared!

Proverbs 19:17
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Thank you for your compassion, your response, your generousity and prayers. The children are clothed, fed, and sheltered due to your kindness! He will reward you for what you have done.
